Mendoza is recognized as the best land, or 'Tierra', for Malbec in Argentina. This area lies at the foot of the Cordillera de los Andes mountain range in Lujan de Cujo and is home to the vineyards of the Finca Don Otaviano.
It is in this privileged Terroir that we grow and harvest the best strains of the most emblematic Argentinean Malbec grape, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon.
The vineyard is planted along high cordon trellis to the north and south, parallel to the Cordillera de los Andes mountain range. By being planted this way, the vineyard benefits from the best insulation, which is ideal for the proper ripening of the grapes. The grapes are cultivated using artisan traditions with the best techniques of viniculture; they enjoy pure waters from melting snow and ice from the higher areas in the Andes and are harvested by hand. It is in this tradition that the Penedo Borges wines are created.
Penedo Borges: wines of exceptional quality and produced by artisan tradition in limited quantities.
